Monologue

I DO NOT LIKE THIS DAY. IT WAS NO FUN. JOY DIDN'T PLAY WITH ME ENOUGH. SHE DIDN'T SIT WITH ME IN THE CAR. I WANT TO LIVE WITH JOY. IF I COULD LIVE WITH JOY, I'D BE HAPPY. JOY IS HAPPIER THAN ME BECAUSE SHE'S FIVE. IF I WERE FIVE, I'D BE HAPPIER. I WANT TO BE FIVE RIGHT NOW. I DON'T WANT TO WAIT ANYMORE. DECEMBER IS A LONG WEEK.

I DON'T WANT MY IMAGINARY FRIENDS TO LIVE WITH US ANYMORE. THEY HAVE TO MOVE OUT. AND OUR HOUSE IS JUST A HOUSE NOW. NOT A CASTLE. THE HALL LEADS TO THE OFFICE, AND IT IS NOT UPSTAIRS. I WANT TO MOVE MY BED TO JOY'S HOUSE.

I DON'T LIKE SONGS. I DON'T WANT TO GO TO SCHOOL ANYMORE. I REALLY THINK I DON'T LIKE SONGS. TURN OFF THE SONGS. IT'S TOO LOUD FOR ME.

I WANT MORE THINGS. I DON'T GET ANY NEW TOYS. I ONLY GET NEW COLORING PADS AND NEW PLAY-DOH BUT THAT'S NOT WHAT I WANT. WHAT I WANT IS NEW STUFFED ANIMALS AND OTHER LARGE THINGS. WHAT I WANT IS AT BUILD-A-BEAR. IT'S A CUDDLY NEW BEAR. THAT'S ALL I WANT IN THIS WORLD. WHY DON'T I EVER GET WHAT I WANT AND YOU GET EVERYTHING YOU WANT?

I DON'T WANT YOU TALKING. I DON'T WANT YOU SAYING ANYTHING. I DON'T LIKE IT WHEN YOU SAY THINGS. WHY DON'T YOU SAY ANYTHING?

God. I'm really embarrassed that you were listening to me while I was driving in the car this morning. I thought I was all alone.

This is kinda like the "Not Grateful" post I have been thinking about for the last couple of weeks...hope she's feeling better after a good rant.

So, is this one worth unearthing when she is a teenager or will she still be talking like that then?

Refreshing to know that there's someone ought there that thinks getting older is going to fix all her problems. Ahhh...If it were only so.

Now I'm starting to rethink my eagerness to have my daughter start talking... Maybe she could just wait until she's 25 and likes her parents again? :) Lix

They always know where the buttons are, don't they?!

Regardless, we had a great time! There is just never enough time for Joy, either. "I want Jarrah to play at my HOUSE now!"

Happy Thanksgiving!

oxox,

Mary

BWAHAHAHAHAHAA.

Is it ok to laugh, if I KNOW that BBJ's rants will morph into ones IDENTICAL to Jarrah's in two years? The intent is there...she simply lacks the vocabulary.

It kinda sounds like me lately...hormones can do crazy things to a girl! :)

If this ever happens again, give her chocolate! Or sprinkles! Both!

Funny baby.
