Better Living Through Architecture

"Mommy, I got a library book today. See?" (She shows me. It's called Nibble Nibble Mousekin.) "I'm going to pretend it's a book about building things, like houses."

She begins to read:

How To Build A House

(as told by Jarrah, verbatim)

Step #1: Gather things together, like tools.

Step #2: Screw in your house.

Step #3: Put up walls.

Step #4: Put on your roof.

Step #5: Look out for wolfs. Wait. I mean, decorate your house. That's all. What's so funny?

Oh no! I forgot the look out for wolfs step! :)

Step 2 is good advice. Although there's always someone else's house!

That is SOOOOO funny!

LOL, Robyn! Someone else's house definitely sounds less chilly, what with the lack of walls and roof. ;)

How creative is she to even think of changing the subject of the book?! And why? Her mind is amazing!

I might add your mind is amazing for being able to remember so well. Mine has gone to mushy mush.

This is a great story. I wish I had someone to tell me such wonderful stories. My dogs have trouble turning the pages... no opposable thumbs and all.

Who needs to read the actual book when you can make up your own? Fantastic. This is almost as great as the narrative on certain procedures, by certain parties in the loo.

Awesome! She has the steps down perfectly. I'm thinking they may have read something about the three little pigs and the big bad wolf at school recently?? :)
